chupachups-spicegirlsedit: I have confirmation that this partnership is happening overseas!

My only memory of Chupa Chups lollipops are begging my mom for the Spice Girls version that I absolutely had-to-have (and totally did get), so it’s exciting to see that they might be teaming up with our other 90’s favorite: Lip Smackers!

Now I don’t know how reliable this info is, but here’s what I found on a licensing website called LicenseMag:

Perfetti Van Melle and Aspire Brands are bringing together their brands Chupa Chups and Lip Smacker for a range of tasty lip glosses and beauty products.

The collection of flavored lip glosses was developed from the true essence and aroma of Chupa Chups lollipops flavors, and will be available soon in Europe, Australia, Asia and South Africa.

Additional branded cosmetics and accessories will be added to the range shortly thereafter.Licensemag.com

It looks like at the very least there is some concept art done-

The flavors look like Vanilla, Strawberry, Orange, Apple, Raspberry, ChocoVanilla, and Cherry.

It’d be cool if they eventually did some of the more unique flavors like Blackberry and Melon Soda.

What do you guys think of this pairing? Yay or nay?

easterrhinestonesThe Easter bunny came early and left us some presents in our basket! 🙂

Eight adorable springtime smackers are hopping into stores in egg capsules, box-sets, and little baggies…

A pile of goodies~

Hi everyone! :] I finally got my hands on all 6 of the new Luscious Lip Smackers and I am pretty thrilled with them! I’ve been wishing for black tubed smackers so I was excited when these were announced.

Good things: I looove lovelove when BB does jelly textures; they’re nice and long lasting.
They’re SUPER shiny. They’d work well over lip color but are great on their own.
The scents are strong and amazing even before first use. Something about this particular formula really brings it out. And they taste so good (I’m talking 90’s good, if you remember that girl in 3rd grade who would eat Lip Smackers during class).
Plus, THEY ARE SO PRETTY:

From left to right: Pomegranate Fizz, Raspberry Sparkler, Mango Fizz, Watermelon Spritzer, Pink Grapefruit Sparkler, Strawberry Lemonade

My current favorites are Pomegranate Fizz, Mango Fizz, and Pink Grapefruit Sparkler which I can’t stop using.

Bad things: Not too many.
The packaging gave me a lip tint vibe so I’m surprised they’re so colorless. That’s growing on me though; they’re versatile.
Unfortunately the tube design feels really wobbly like the balm could eventually snap off.

luscious-comparisonThey’re also smaller than expected at 0.11 oz  (versus the normal 0.14 oz size) which is significantly less product. However they’re super inexpensive and the balm is high quality.

This isn’t necessarily bad, but a few of them are really glittery. Some people might not like that.

Love these, recommend them, and I hope BB expands the family. This could be a really glam line if they wanted 🙂

lip-smacker-double-cheeseburgerThe Lip Smacker novelties have brought us a lot of unexpected flavors, and I have to say, I am pretty impressed by what they’ve put together for the more um, unique stuff 🙂 It’s no surprise really, BB has quite the varied history if you think about it.

BB didn’t hold back on Double Cheeseburger or Sweet Potato Fries either; but no worries, this trio leans more toward diner-style than ‘8 hour shift at a greasy fast food establishment’ 😀

Double Cheeseburger is the smacker I was most curious about, and I can confirm that it’s pretty burger-y indeed. It’s a bit overwhelming and has a strong onion flavor going on.  Unsurprisingly it’s not one most people will use, but it’s fun to know it exists.

The Sweet Potato Fries lip balm has a general veggie scent to it, wrapped up in a sweet, almost caramel note. I think some people will like this one as it’s a lot lighter and accessible. A cute spin on the french fry idea.

We’ve had variations on Strawberry Milkshake throughout the years so there’s nothing new to say about that.

I really do like the novelties we’ve seen so far. They’re entertaining and the bold artwork is great.

I have an absolutely amazing sneak preview for Bunny Cookie readers and you guys are going to love it!

Lookie, lookie…

Ooo, check that out… the 1970s called and they are not getting Coconut Cake (1977), Caramel Corn (1977), and Sour Apple (1974) back 🙂 It’s all for us!

And you better believe those are 90’s fan-favorites Cinnamon Sugar (1996), and Grape Jelly (1994). Eep. How perfect is that timing with the 90’s trend we’re seeing right now? Judging by these flavors popularity they aren’t a second too soon.

Rounding out this sweet preview are Sprinkle Donut (yesss, donut), and familiar flavors Cherry Cobbler, and Strawberry Shortcake.

These should be rolling out around February next year. What flavors are you freaking out over and what are you surprised to see? I really didn’t expect Sour Apple!
