pumpkin-latteFuture fall favorite, Pumpkin Latte, has been showing up online and in stores already! Though I’m reaching for more tropical flavors in this 90 degree heat, this smacker has been fun to try out.

But surprisingly it isn’t as heavy or potentially overwhelming as the name would imply. This is probably because there aren’t really any latte notes–it’s more of a nice spiced cookie. I think it’s a good (though inaccurately named) addition!

That’s my major problem with this year’s releases, the names being incorrect. The flavors themselves are fun like you said but Bonne Bell is using misleading names. If they just adjusted the naming scheme a little bit things would be 50% better

In rite aid I found a smackers single in ice cream sandwhich and it is delishious! I’m not sure I’ve seen you blog about it so I figured I’d mention it 🙂

Looks cute and fun to try! I wouldve assumed it would be a cookie flavor or even pumpkin seed like.

  4. It’s never too early for new Smackers- especially fall and Holiday flavors! I’m loving the frequency of new flavors this year! I completely agree with you, definitely the wrong given name for the actual flavor. It’s really sad that a company that was the leader in scent/ flavor accuracy, authenticity has let these things happen- not okay! This smells more like sweet potato pie, a little pumpkin spice like, with no creamy sweet notes as you’d expect from a pumpkin latte. This spice note isn’t as annoying and cloying as the cheapened one in Cinnamon Sugar and Carrot Cake. Pumpkin lattes are very trendy and on the top of everyones fall treats list, for them to do this so lazily is annoying. It could and can be done a lot better. So sweet potato pie or pumpkin spice is a better name for this.

    • Pumpkin Spice describes this perfectly! I still can’t shake the gingersnap / pumpkin oatmeal cookie association even though there isn’t a cookie note to be found.

I picked up the pumpkin latte in Target yesterday. I haven’t been able to find the donut or icecream flavors (comes in a package of 4) at Target or any stores around the Albany NY area. I did see a couple on Ebay so I may just have to go that route to purchase.

I agree with what pretty much everyone else is saying about it smelling good, but not accurately named. That’s too bad, but it won’t stop me from wearing it and just hoping that maybe one day they will have an accurate coffee/latte/cappuccino type flavor. That is my dream 🙂 Yes, I know they had coffee drink Lip Lites, but I just want regular Lip Smackers in coffee flavors. 🙂
