I thought I would continue the summer theme and take a pic of the Sun Swirl duo in flavors Kiwi Berry Splash and Tropical Raspberry Blast.

These are also SPF 24 and come with the keyring caps. On the bottom of the tubes it says they expired in early 2004.

I love the formula on these and they have a really, really strong scent – Kiwi Berry Splash smells like sugar plum with a hint of kiwi, which is better than it sounds, and Tropical Raspberry Blast is sort of raspberry meets pineapple. Surprisingly sweet and tart.

I’ve also updated the blog’s layout and added a search bar so it is easier to find info!

 

90’s Sun Smackers

In celebration of summer being around the corner I thought I’d post pictures of the old Sun Smackers! I’ll try not to be too nostalgic but the artwork on these are just fantastic, right?

Here are the trio packs. These have matte labels and an expiration date of 1999. Make sure to click the pictures to take a closer look!

I thought I’d post a pic of some cute smackers while we wait for some news. Even though this back-to-school set isn’t from the right season, the design always makes me think of the Spring-time! Plus it came with a grape flavor which they need to do way more of.

They came paired with a cute book cover — way cuter than the paper bag book covers I’d make in elementary school 😛

Ooo, I love the Starburst Lip Smackers! 😀 These are the really cute square-capped smackers with the retired block-letter logo from the early 2000s. Bonne Bell released different kinds such as California Fruits, Tropical Fruits, Fruit & Creme, and Original Fruits.

BB has made several variations of Starburst smackers over the years – minis, Tropical Fruits, faveREDs, Easter, as well as Starburst lip glosses, shampoos/conditioners, shower gels etc. And I can see why, because the scents are really well done. It’s actually a little crazy how good they are.

2004 was a fun year for Lip Smackers – they released the delicious Vanilla Creams party pack and Swirl Glosses, both of which had really cool transparent tubes and swirly, multi-colored balms. I really hope Bonne Bell brings this style back in the future; fruit + cream is a great combination and they smell crazy good!
