Lip Smacker – Good and Plenty – bonus vintage Caboodles case!

The vintage Good & Plenty biggy Lip Smacker was yet another iconic brand pairing in smacker history.

If you’re not familiar with them, Good & Plenty’s are a spicy black licorice candy with a hard coating, making it a perfect match for Bonne Bell’s unique line. BB did great with it because its formula still smells strongly like the real thing.good-plenty

While it saw a few different design changes in its day, it always kept a similar scheme to match the candy box. What I like the most is that even though it’s black licorice flavored the balm is pale pink 😀 Too cute!

 

It seems that people either love or hate black licorice. I like it, what about you? Would you buy this flavor if it were available today?

    Those pics of the Good & Plenty smacker are just torturous!! Out of all the original smackers that is the one I want brought back the most. As a teen I remember my local department store had a huge jar on their cosmetic counter that contained the giant smackers and this is one of them I remember in that jar. There was also Tootsie Roll, 7-Up, Sour Grape, Watermelon, Wild Raspberry, etc. Ahh the good old days :'(

    I had this one, and I savored it and kept it for a very long time as it was my absolute favorite. Sadly, my ex-husband went through my makeup one day and threw it away because he said I didn’t need to keep it. He was a controlling man and tried to control my makeup. I told him he better not ever touch my makeup again. I’d pay top dollar to have another one.
