Stellar Strawberry, Orange Sh-Orbit and yes… Moon Rock Candy! I’ve heard of an 80’s trio floating out there too…:)

Finally!!!!! I will buy these soon! They were one of my favorites. They better bring back more Cosmic smackers. I will buy all of them. 😀

    • Renee on April 16, 2015 at 9:08 AM said:

Celeste, PLEASE let me know when find these in stores! I can’t wait to get these! I remember giving Moon Rock Candy away to a girl at a slumber party. I got one of those six packs of them with the clip on cap to give to girls I invited to a slumber party.

      • Celeste on April 16, 2015 at 7:17 PM said:

I will let you know, Renee! My friend and I both had that 6 pack which you speak of back in the day. I think this mean girl in our class even stole her red licorice launch at the Christmas Program. Too funny! LOL Moon rock candy is definitely a unique flavor. 🙂

  2. Celeste on April 15, 2015 at 5:34 PM said:

Does anyone think that they will also release more Cosmic smackers?!! 🙂

  3. Celeste on April 15, 2015 at 5:43 PM said:

I used these when I was a geeky middle school girl! Sorry if its too many comments, but these flavors are SUPER nostalgic to me. Can you tell I’m excited?! LOL

    • Renee on April 16, 2015 at 9:11 AM said:

I’m a little younger than you, so I used these when I was in elementary school.

I hope they did well with the formula too!

  4. Cool! I’d really love to see Mint Choco-Ship, I loved that one. Maybe Lip Smacker really is listening to their customers? Now if only they’d bring back the Jewel collection too. 🙂

  5. Oooo

  6. Oohhh, I’m glad their coming back. Hopefully I’ll see it in stores.

    • Renee on April 16, 2015 at 9:25 AM said:

Based on a few internet searches, it seems to have been sighted at Rite Aid. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen these at my local Rite Aid at all. I recommend checking there to see if they sell them yet at yours.

  7. Where can you buy these? Dying here 🙂

I had Moon Rock Candy and Orange Sh-orbit. I wish they’d re-do Mocha Nova. That was my favorite (already a coffee-addict at all of eight years old). The Cosmic Smackers were some of my first Smackers ever. They’ll always be near and dear to my heart.

any chance Wal-mart will get them?

    • Celeste on April 16, 2015 at 7:29 PM said:

I LOVED these too! I never had mocha nova but WOULD buy it if they released it. 🙂

I WISH walmart would have these, but they NEVER have smackers when I go. Hopefully that will change with Markwins having ownership now-maybe the vendors will push to get Smackers into Walmart again, because you see W&W and PF stuff there all the time.

On another note. I got my other Paul Frank party pack in. I love them! The Clancy’s Cotton Candy smells like the Cotton Candy Clouds sparkler from when I was 14. Aaah the memories. 🙂 I also have a the Paul Red Raspberry and Sweet Sugar Berry coming in.

    • I can’t believe I totally forgot about Mocha Nova! That was a really good one too. I always wished they’d make more coffee flavors, At least some of the chocolate and caramel flavors come close. I know the Bonne Bell line had a few, but I always wanted coffee flavors in the Lip Smacker sticks.

    • Mocha Nova was awesome!! I had it and loved it! I loved all my Cosmic Lip Smackers. I had/have: Lip Smackers- Mocha Nova, Moon Rock Candy, Martian Mallow (my FAVORITE), Berry Heavenly, Planetary Berry, Gum Ball Galaxy, Mint Choco Ship (SOO Good), Sponge-on Sparklers in Grape Gravity, Cotton Candy Clouds, Way-Out Watermelon, and Celestial Strawberry. I don’t think Mocha Jolt sponge-on sparkler was part of the Cosmic Sponge-on Sparklers but I have that flavor too

  9. Maria on April 16, 2015 at 7:05 PM said:

Thanks Renee. I will def be checking my Local Rite Aid. As its literally a walk away. I absolutely loved the Moon Rock Candy! Wonder if its silver like before?

    • Renee on April 16, 2015 at 7:38 PM said:

I haven’t found it at my local Rite Aid, but I should probably check other Rite Aid stores in other towns…. or Kroger. Kroger for some reason sells Lip Smackers in the makeup section, which is kind of odd because it’s a grocery store.

  10. Celeste on April 16, 2015 at 7:32 PM said:

Grrr! They don’t have Rite Aide’s where I live. No worries, I’m sure these and more cosmic smackers will start popping up in various stores soon like with the vintage collection, and even the smackers website as well.

    • Renee on April 16, 2015 at 7:44 PM said:

I checked Target, but they didn’t have these at all. I did get the Starburst party pack that even has the original strawberry, cherry, and orange flavors! You should get it if you don’t have it already.

      • Celeste on April 16, 2015 at 9:08 PM said:

Aw, I still think maybe it just might take more time to see them in more stores. I have a couple of the Starburst ones already, cherry kiwi, melon and strawberry banana. I’m more of a skittles girl, but want to get those later too. 🙂

  11. Sparkina on April 16, 2015 at 7:51 PM said:

What are the flavors in the 80s trio? This former 80s teen wants to know

  12. Maria on April 16, 2015 at 7:53 PM said:

Id like Starburst Cherry and Orange. I have Mango Melon, Cherry Kiwi and Strawberry Banana.

  13. Karen on April 16, 2015 at 9:54 PM said:

I just saw this set at Rite Aid. They had a display with 3 different sets, each containing 3 smackers. There were 70’s 80’s and 90’s sets. The 70’s one had Red Licorice, Candy Apple and Sour Lemon. The 80’s had Peppermint, Peach and Piece of Cake. And the 90’s one is the one pictured in this post. I purchased the 70’s set-the Sour Lemon is extra yummy. Already had the 80’s balms but plan to go back and get the 90’s set before they’re gone 🙂

  14. I’m def going to check Rite Aid tomorrow.

  15. Maria on April 17, 2015 at 2:29 AM said:

Does anyone kno what the Sweet Bubble Gum from Easter set is like? What about the Cinderella Bubble Gum Ball and Midnight Mint are like? Are they shimmery?

    • Renee on April 17, 2015 at 8:35 AM said:

Sweet Bubble Gum like the other Easter bubblegum flavors, Cinderella Bubble Gum Ball is like the original bubblegum, and Midnight Mint is sort of like butter mints but less creamy. NONE of them are shimmery.

  16. Kelsey on April 17, 2015 at 5:21 PM said:

I looked for these today at Rite Aid and didn’t find them. They had the Layer-It and Roll-It Smackers, though. I got Layer-It Berry Cream Cake, The cream cake balm is good. The berry gloss is leaning more toward raspberry. They definitely taste better together.

    • Just got the Layer-It Berry Cream Cake today! You are totally right that they taste better together! I’m loving the texture of the cake balm.

    • Karen on April 20, 2015 at 4:55 AM said:

I don’t know if it will also be the case at your store but when I found mine at RIte Aid they were in a separate section and in a display made especially for the 3 sets-like not on the wall where they normally are but towards the front of the store with the new items. Hope that helps your search.

  17. I’ve got the 80s and 70s trio and I’m on the hunt for the 90s.

  18. Didn’t get a chance to go to Rite Aid today but I will def go tomorrow.

  19. Celeste on April 17, 2015 at 11:35 PM said:

They gotta put these on sale on thier website! I mean all the 70s smackers are pn there already. They need to expand the 90s collection! lol 🙂 On a side note, UPS delivered my lipsmackers to the wrong floor in my office so I don’t have them. I called customer service and they are going to track the order. Do you think they will reimburse me or send me another order if they got stolen? 🙁

    • Celeste on April 17, 2015 at 11:37 PM said:

Also my Clancy’s Cotton Candy mysteriously vanished in my cubicle! But its okay because I got a biggie version coming in next week. LOL

  20. Maria on April 18, 2015 at 5:27 PM said:

Ok I’ve got Strawberry Cream Frosting and Sugar Plum Frosting and I’m not getting the “frosting” vibe from them like the Bubblegum Frosting. *sigh* Is the Buttercream Frosting or Holiday Frosting anything like actual frosting?

    • Hi Maria,
You’re right, the Strawberry Cream Frosting is more like “Strawberry Cream” and the Sugar Plum Frosting is more like just “Sugar Plum.” I don’t have the Buttercream Frosting I’m curious too about that one. The Holiday Frosting I have is from around 2010 and it smells just like real powdered sugar icing, it’s from the collection that included Berry Fun and Gingerbread Greetings.

      • Renee on April 18, 2015 at 8:51 PM said:

You mean the 2009 holiday collection? I remember that one! I loved the pear one. The buttercream frosting one is like the chocolate buttercream Lip Smacker from the 2013 Easter collection minus the chocolate scent. It’s just like the buttercream flavor from the Minnie and Daisy Lip Smacker Easter collection that came out recently.

        • Yes it must have been the 2009 holiday collection! I loved all the flavors they’re so strong and accurate! I have Holiday Frosting, Gingerbread Greetings, Berry Fun, Yummy Berry, Share a Pear, and Candy Cane Cheer. Candy Cane Cheer is unique because it’s a like a strawberry peppermint. Really yummy!

        • Maria on April 20, 2015 at 4:03 PM said:

I have the Pear from that collection. Aww Renee Buttercream Frosting is like the “Buttercream Chick”? Sigh. I literally have 5 of those. Guess I should buy the “Holiday Frosting”.

  21. Maria on April 18, 2015 at 8:21 PM said:

I’m gunna have to get both of those, Emma. I will let u kno how ButterCream Frosting is. Really sad about Sugar Plum Frosting and Strawberry Cream Frosting….Hey Emma does the Holiday Frosting still taste and smell considering its from 2010?

    • Maria, Yes the smell is really strong! It’s the version with the baby blue cap, purple/blue? font, and cute little reindeer, snowflakes stars and bells for art. There is no flavor that I can detect but I’ve noticed some of my Smackers are flavorless and others taste like their designated flavor. I wonder if it’s because some of the flavor’s ingredients contain sweeteners and others don’t?

  22. I checked 6 different Rite-Aids, CVS pharmacies, and Kroger today and no Cosmic Smackers to be found!! I’m thinking they’ll be hitting stores later, hoping anyway!

    • Sometimes it takes a while for them to be sold everywhere. I know it sometimes takes a few months AFTER Bunny Cookie finds them for me to find them at my local stores. I really wish that Lip Smackers were sold everywhere like they used to be. It’s like some twisted egg hunt.

      • Right! I didn’t get the special edition flavors trio Sour Grapes, Orange Sherbet, Pina Colada until 9 Months after Bunny Cookie posted them! I agree about the egg hunt, I used to find Smackers everywhere now they’re so limited and hard to find :'(

        • Celeste on April 19, 2015 at 12:17 AM said:

I used to think it was just me that had trouble finding them. Its super annoying how they are so hard to find. When I was little all the drug stores, Walmart and even 99 Cents Only stores have them. Now my only hope is the limited selection at Target and the website. Hopefully they will be available on the web store next month at least. I’ll buy a set of these for my friend from middle school for sure! 🙁

          • They are definitely getting harder and harder to find!! In the past year or two especially!! One of the things I dislike about ordering online is that the balm tubes aren’t carded. I always like seeing the artwork/font/whatever on the card

  23. Omg my toddler son ate my Bubblegum Frosting Lipsmacker! 🙁 good thing I have 2 extra but now I only have one backup. *sigh* gunna have to buy more. What does everyone think of Strawberry Frosting?? Does it have that FROSTING scent n flavor? Renee have u tried the Buttercream Frosting and Holiday Frosting? Do they have flavor?

    • I don’t have holiday frosting anymore, but I have the buttercream frosting and it tastes a little sweet.

    • Strawberry Frosting from the Delectable Donuts collection imo has a strawberry bakery scent, Not a frosting scent. The scent is medium to light and I can’t really taste any flavor. I love it though! That whole collection was really good.

    • Maria- if you want a really strong, really sweet Lip Smacker you should try Vanilla Bean from the Ice Cream Dreams Lip Collection. It’s a shimmer but not gritty at all, really moisturizing and the flavor is soo sweet! It’s perfection.

      • Celeste on April 19, 2015 at 2:51 PM said:

What I don’t like about buying online is the shipping costs and you have to wait over 2 weeks to get your stuff. FedEx and thw other shippers are not reliable. A lot of times they deliver stuff to the wrong person. That’s what happened to me. They better reimburse me or customer service should send me a replacement.

        • Totally. Our mail person delivers packages all over the neighborhood to the wrong recipients all. the. time. If they don’t reimburse you or redeliver you can always dispute the charge on your credit card although that’s annoying

          • Celeste on April 19, 2015 at 10:07 PM said:

Sometimes I think those shippers just don’t care! lol I sure hope they do reimburse or redeliver. Someone stole my philosophy bubble bath from my front door and FedEx tried not to cover it, but the company reshipped the merchandise so I didn’t care. I’ll argue with them until they give in if necessary; I work hard for my money and lip smackers! lol They will probably just reship it. If no, my bank seems to be the type that will reimburse me (I used debit card from my bank).

  24. Maria on April 19, 2015 at 3:42 PM said:

Hmmm is buttercream Frosting like Bubblegum Frosting? That’s the closest I’ve ever had to true frosting like the Vanilla Frosting Sparkler. And Emma, yes the Donut Collection was yummy. I got the trio that didn’t have the Strawberry Frosting.

  25. Maria on April 19, 2015 at 3:45 PM said:

Oh! That Vanilla Bean is really good. And the shimmer was more like a silver shine. I like it! But Bubblegum Frosting is absolutely pure perfection. Love it!

  26. Buttercream Frosting is AMAZING! Such a rich and decadent flavor. Smells exactly like the Golden Butter Cream from holiday 2000. (Yes, it was that good I remember it!) It’s a very true frosting flavor, buttery- rich and sugary sweet. I smell a little butterscotch in it. All of Bonne Bell’s butter creams are amazing, even the Berry Buttercream from the cupcake collection. It’s like blackberry and the traditional buttercream. Such an amazing pairing. Also loved the recent Bubble Gum Frosting, definitely unique. And LOVE Vanilla Buttercream from the cake pop collection, I hope they put that on the web soon so I can order 20! So basically, yes you MUST own Buttercream Frosting!!! Buy a few for back ups, you won’t regret it.
Also, love these decades trios! Will be buying bulk. Can you imagine if they’d do decade Party Packs or Biggy trios?!?

  27. Also, I loved the cosmics for their packaging and unique flavors. The thing is the flavors are still available (not all) disguised in the Disney Princess Party Pack. Just renamed. Although I have noticed they changed the Strawberry Kiwi Comet flavor, aka Magical Berry Glow (HOW!?! WHY would they do that) Smells more like the Slammin’ Strawberry Kiwi Kool-Aid Smacker that wasn’t nearly as good as the original. What a shame. Martian Mallow was my first cosmic followed by ALL of them. Red Licorice Launch, Lunar Lime, Moon Rock Candy, Gum Ball Galaxy, etc. (I love when they do candy flavors!) Berry Heavenly was always good, a rich berries and cream flavor, I wish they’d do that in a shimmer-less formula. Can you imagine a jewel Smacker re-do? Aquamarine Freeze and Butterscotch Topaz better be the first flavors they bring back.

  28. Maria on April 19, 2015 at 7:31 PM said:

Well that settles it! Def buying Buttercream Frosting! is the Vanilla Buttercream like a frosting too??

Ordered Buttercream Frosting and another Disney Easter set with the Bubblegum Frosting. Does anyone like the Buttercream Chick? I think that one is good too.

    • Celeste on April 23, 2015 at 10:26 PM said:

I ordered bubblegum frosting and the buttercream chick. I bought vanilla buttercream in the cake pop set when I went to Target. Its a really nice flavor-it close to french vanilla, but kind of different. I also ordered the salted pretzel, red licorice and sweet potato fries-they may not become my favorites, but they are cute for my collection. I like the designs an uniqueness of them. I should be getting them in shipped by Monday.

      • Celeste. I absolutely LOVE Bubblegum Frosting! I ordered 4 sets not including the first one I bought. I have all the others u mentioned except Vanilla Buttercream. One of my fave Buttercreams was Berry Buttercream.

        • Celeste on April 24, 2015 at 10:00 PM said:

Yay! I look forward to it, it seems like a unique flavor. I think the Vanilla Buttercream would taste the same as the buttercream chick.

I like berry buttercream too! It reminds me of a smackers berry buttercream frosting lip gloss I had when I was in high school. Do you remember the cake collection from the 90s? It was mostly limited to lip glosses I think, not really balms. The lip glosses had layers of different colors and little beads on top.

          • Maria on April 25, 2015 at 2:21 AM said:

Yes Celeste, I remember that collection. I didn’t have any though. I did have several Sparklers, Flip Glosses, and the Liquids when they came out. I really liked “Sugar Crystals”. My fav Sparkler was def “Vanilla Frosting”. Such a surprise huh? Haha. I have 2 even now.and the Flip glosses I don’t remember as much but I liked the blue one. The name of it had fizz in it but I don’t remember anything else. I was an avid balm collector back then.

          • Celeste on April 27, 2015 at 11:11 PM said:

Maria, I remember the flip glosses but didn’t have any of them. A lot of people like the vanilla frosting sparkler. 🙂 I had a lot of the sparklers, th sour glossses and the squeezie tubes. I got my bubblegum frosting today and love it! I made a mistake of ordering doubles of red licorice and sweet potato fries. Oh well, those are going to gifted to my friends. lol I like those flavors but they are not my favorites.

  31. I hope they bring back Raspberry Chocolate! Fingers crossed!

  32. Just checked Target, CVS, Walgreens, Kmart, Stop & Shop, and they don’t have the 90’s trio. Ugh! I hope they get stock here soon.

    • Renee on April 23, 2015 at 4:52 PM said:

Me too! I’ve been searching for this trio on ebay but no one is selling this.

      • Celeste on April 23, 2015 at 10:27 PM said:

So frustrating! How do they expect to sell, if 95% of the population can’t find the product in stores?

        • I’ve seen the 90’s trio posted several times on instagram now, the oldest pic being 3 weeks ago. They’ve been spotted at Rite Aid’s in Ohio and the East coast. I want them soo bad!! They’re becoming a unicorn-impossible to find 🙁

          • Renee on April 24, 2015 at 3:06 AM said:

Hopefully I can find all three trios this Summer. I hope these are sold in other stores besides Rite Aid.

          • Celeste on April 24, 2015 at 10:08 PM said:

I hope I can get them too! I don’t even have any Rite Aids where I live! This southern girl wants the cosmic smackers to come to my side of the US too! 🙁 I really want them too! I want to buy a set for my friend as well.

  33. Maria on April 23, 2015 at 6:51 AM said:

Ok got my Buttercream Frosting and Sprinkle Cookie and I must say I REALLY like Sprinkled Cookie. Smells exactly like a holiday cookie.

  34. Id really like to get Moon Rock Candy but I haven’t gotten to Rite Aid here yet (I’m in Ohio, very close to the factory they closed) Anyone else in Ohio?

    • I read on instagram that the Ohio factory is going to have an inventory sale in June; I don’t know how much truth there is to that but would be cool!
I’m on the West Coast. I’d like Moon Rock Candy as well, haven’t seen it yet but I did just find the Chic Collection with Strawberry Macaroon and French Vanilla in the black packaging, and the Ice Cream Dreams shimmer collection at Walgreens. Better late than never?!

      • Celeste on April 24, 2015 at 11:38 PM said:

I saw those same collections at Walgreens and I’m live in the south. I don’t care much for the Ice Cream Dreams collection- I only liked the berry pie one. I do like the black-neon lip smackers though. Strawberry macaroon and french vanilla are awesome flavors. I also a biggy trio with watermelon, strawberry and cotton candy for $5.00! I bought it. The original strawberry flavor takes me back to my kindergarten days. lol

        • NIce! lol. The black-neon lip smackers are great both in flavor and design. I love the berry pie flavor from ice cream dreams!!! I also LOVE the vanilla bean flavor from the non-holiday ice cream dreams collection. Do you (or anyone?!) know of a non shimmer dupe for the berry pie flavor? Somedays I don’t want shimmer 🙂

          • Celeste on April 26, 2015 at 12:08 PM said:

Wouldn’t the berry pie from the set of four with the vanilla bean, be a dupe for the shimmer berry pie flavor? I didn’t get that set because I already had berry pie, I don’t like thier cinnamon and I already had a dupe for thier other flavor. The only one that interested me from there was the vanilla bean one; i’m sure its amazing like you’re describing it. 🙂

          • Celeste, the berry pie from the set with the vanilla bean IS a shimmer as well! That whole ice cream dreams set with the normal labels is a shimmer set, weird I know! And yes I love the vanilla bean flavor!!

          • Celeste on April 28, 2015 at 9:52 PM said:

Wow, that’s a surprise that it was a shimmer

  35. Maria on April 24, 2015 at 7:32 AM said:

Hmm I really should check Rite Aid I suppose.

  36. Mandie B on April 25, 2015 at 8:04 AM said:

Got this message about the release times of the collections-

    From Facebook-

Lip Smacker: Great question Amanda! The 70’s trios are currently available now, both on our website and in your local Rite Aid. The 80’s trio should also be available in Rite Aid starting next month. Stay tuned for the 90’s trio. We are still working one that one, but we will definitely keep you all posted. Have a great day!

    • Celeste on April 25, 2015 at 4:31 PM said:

At least they addressed this. I guess most of us will have to wait for the 90s trio, probably like 6 months. I hope they put it on the webstore, because not all of have Rite Aids where we live. But you can buy online from Rite Aid, maybe they will put them online.

      • Renee on April 25, 2015 at 4:53 PM said:

I keep checking ebay and it’s not even being sold there! Grrrrrrrrr!

        • Celeste on April 25, 2015 at 8:46 PM said:

I checked there and didn’t see anything either; that means its hard for everyone to find, but they are going to have to release it more eventually. I wish I had mine now too. 🙁

    • “We are still working on that one”, hm.

      • I wonder if the 90’s trios that are out there are for a test market?

        • Celeste on April 25, 2015 at 8:57 PM said:

Maybe they want to see how strong the demand is for different generations of consumers to see what they should release in the future. Its strong with young women and mature women because we grew up with it so the brand is tied to our childhood-teenage memories (nostalgia). Children don’t have our buying power and a lot of them think they are too old for smackers after they hit puberty, because they focused too much on cartoons on packaging, instead of keeping most of it more age neutral. Most prettens use baby lips and EOS.

        • Yup, Celeste, you’re right about the pre-teens and teens not liking LS. When I was doing my research, I looked at Girls Life’s website (a magazine) and LS had advertisements in the beauty section of “I found my flavor” and LS contests and while there were comments how many liked LS, others were not so thrilled with it. I’ve pasted some below:

One reads: What the heck is up with all these Lip Smacker ad posts? I don’t even see that in stores anymore except Justice (a store for everyone below the age of preteens) and isn’t this site more preteen and up?

Another reads: These are kind of getting annoying. I like the make-up routines, but not the Lip Smacker advertisement.
Someone replied to the poster above saying: IKR? No one really cares about the different flavors. This doesn’t make me want to buy Wild Raspberry Lipsmacker, its just annoying. The makeup routine was good though.
And another replied: I know! It’s just annoying. Lip smackers flavors ads dont make me buy any….
On the same page another said: These are really annoying. They should do more make-up how-to’s, not “I found my flavor” which is basically just 1 giant Lip smackers advertisement.

          • Celeste on April 27, 2015 at 11:00 PM said:

That’s interesting to read and it just confirms that preteens and teens aren’t into lip smackers like we were as kids (and still are.)

Markwins needs to do some serious rebranding, but its going to take time for that to happen. I’ve done a little marketing in college so I know from experience. I love Disney, but they are going to stop being so dependent on that if they want to capture a larger market than 8 to 11 year olds. Cartoons are okay, but in moderation, like limited edition lines. I’d also like to see more diversity (age range and ethnicity) if they are going to use models in thier ads. It’ll help them reach more groups.

They shouldn’t ignore adult consumers! It seems like they are realizing this with the vintage releases.

  37. Maria on April 25, 2015 at 5:54 PM said:

Ahhh! I found all 3 in the Rite Aid by me. I’m very close to the old factory so that may be why. Good Luck to everyone else.

OH! I ordered Holiday Frosting…Hope its good! And jus so everyone knows the 90s, 80s and 70s trios were buy one get one half off at Rite Aid here (Ohio) so they were only 8.50 for all 3. I hope everyone else gets theirs. I think I can safely say I’m stocked up for awhile. How much Lip Smackers does everyone have as backups? I have A LOT. Not including the 60 open ones I’m using now…

  41. Maria on April 26, 2015 at 1:18 AM said:

OK looking at the 70s, 80s and 90s trios the packaging all says Westlake, Ohio so maybe that’s why I found all 3? The others I bought say Santa Monica, CA. I haven’t opened em all yet but I REALLY am considering going back tomorrow and getting doubles of em all….I already have soooo many backups tho. Its jus..the Peach, Peppermint, and Piece a Cake I absolutely LOVE! Unsure..where r u all located?

    • I’m near Santa Monica! But i’ve noticed my lip smackers packages are all mixed, some say Westlake, some say Santa Monica, some say Distributed by Aspire brands and others say distributed by Bonne Bell

Sorry for so many posts…But I was wondering. What’s everyones take on the shimmers? I absolutely LOVE the Vanilla Bean. Been thinking about getting Butter Brickle? What’s it like?

  43. I have a whole bunch of backups on a lot of the flavors I have. If I like it, I usually buy more than one pack. I bought more than one pack of the shimmer 4-pack and the other 4-pack from the Christmas 2014 collection a couple times, plus getting that one trio that has blackberry cream in it. Unfortunately, I have a few sugar plum frosting Lip Smackers I’m still trying to use up (I can’t stand that flavor.).

I also have a bunch of sour grapes, piña colada, and orange sherbet Lip Smackers because I keep buying a pack of them every time I go to Ollie’s. I also have three of the root beer float ones because that flavor also comes in that pack. Oh well, I guess I’m well stocked!

    • Celeste on April 26, 2015 at 12:48 PM said:

I always buy backups on too. I have a backup on Worry Bear’s Honey Sweet, Peach, Sour Grapes, Pina Colada, tropical punch and I bought a Biggy Clancy’s Cotton Candy as back up to my regular size.

I’m with you on the Sugar Plum. I hate sugar plum! I used to like the sugar plum from the 2004 Christmas Collection, but then they changed it to these yucky floral flavor. It should smell like a sweet plum. not like some bouquet. lol

    • I get 1 backup of flavors I like and use a lot, 2 backups of flavors I really, really like, and 3-4 backups of flavors I love. I need to stock up on more lemon squares! Also I’m going to buy another party pack of the shimmer Disney Princesses. I’m really loving it lately and since I can’t get any cosmic lip smackers it will tide me over.

      • Maria on April 27, 2015 at 5:45 AM said:

Emma I do the same thing. I have 3 of my fav flavors. IE: Bubblegum Frosting, Bubblegum, Vanilla, Kiwi, Cotton Candy, Coca Cola, Barqs Root Beer, Buttercream Chick, andof course Vanilla Frosting! I’m sure I’m missing a few but that’s all I can remember right now.

  44. Maria on April 26, 2015 at 2:55 PM said:

I have over 60 backups. Think I’m going a lil crazy. Haha. Thing is they last WAYYY longer than 2 years as the package suggests. I wanna get Butter Brickle but none of the other flavors in that set appeal to me. Still considering backups on the new sets. I Loveee the 70s trio flavors. I like the Sugar Plum Frosting but I don’t care for the others. I tend to lean more towards sickeningly sweet flavors. Like Ice Cream Cake smells soooo sweet. Yum!

    • Which set are you looking at for the Butter Brickle flavor, holiday or non holiday? The holiday set isn’t as good imo as the non holiday because it does not contain Vanilla Bean which I absolutely love!!! The berry pie flavor is very good too. Butter Brickle is along the same lines as their caramel flavors I think. It’s a really sweet buttery flavor with a lot of depth. The sugar plum is okay but nothing special, same with cinnamon swirl.

    • I’m almost convinced they last forever lol. I have a ton of backups. The only times I ever really even need a backup is because I tend to lose mine OR wash them in the washing machine and dryer, although they usually hold up pretty well afterwards!

  45. Maria on April 26, 2015 at 8:05 PM said:

Has anyone seen the sweet and salty set with Vanilla Frosting and Milk Chocolate? Om I was soooo excited. Didn’t even buy a backup of the 70s trio. HAD to have that set! I found it at Rite Aid in OHIO..

    • I’ve never ever heard of it. Do you have pictures of it? Maybe you could ask Bunny Cookie if she could do a post where you review it and show the rest of us what it looks like.

      • Its a 4 pack similar to the Donut Collection except a Pretzel. Has, Milk Choco, Vanilla Frosting, Salty Caramel and Salted Pretzel!

  46. Maria on April 26, 2015 at 9:00 PM said:

Ok buying a backup of the 70s trio right now. I MUST have another. The Peach and Peppermint remind me of the originals. Takes me back to 5th grade.

  47. Maria on April 26, 2015 at 9:08 PM said:

FyI the Sweet and Salty set has labels exactly like the novelties…wonder if they are part of the set??

  48. OH MY GOD. I just found your blog and I am OBSESSED! I didn’t realize anyone else out there was still this obsessed with these suckers! I can’t wait to try the Moon Rock Candy!

I also hope this could be the beginning of a friendship, I NEED to find the Hot Fudge flavor, perhaps someone who reads your blog will happen to see it somewhere!

    • I recommend checking ebay or the Lip Smacker website.

    • Celeste on April 27, 2015 at 11:13 PM said:

You are not alone! lol I lost count of how many I have, but its over 120! LOL

      • I just counted a few weeks ago, I have 290 flavors plus dupes and several backups of my favorite flavors!

        • If they bring back all the cosmic smackers and jewel collection I will collect them all then maybe I need to use some up before getting any more lol

          • Celeste on April 30, 2015 at 9:16 PM said:

I have about 146, not including the Princess Party Pack and a Clancy’s Cotton Candy Biggie that are coming in the mail. I’m giving away duplicates and similar flavors to my friends. I’d buy all of those flavors right away if they did a re release, no hesitation. lol

          • Totally! plus a couple backups lol. I want to order chocolate mint and a couple others from the website that I can’t find in stores, such as peppermint and peach. If I could only find those elusive trios!!

  49. I dunno Renee, hot fudge is kinda hard to find.

  50. Maria on April 27, 2015 at 5:48 AM said:

Fighting with myself not to buy another Vanilla Frosting balm….

  51. Celeste on April 27, 2015 at 11:13 PM said:

Yeah, hot fudge is hard to find. Maybe chocolate hazelnut will be close?

  52. Maria on May 1, 2015 at 2:21 AM said:

WELL I gave in and bought another “sweet and salty” collection. I now have 4 Vanilla Frosting Balms! I must say the Salted Caramel in this set is better than the Salted Caramel in the cupcake collection. These labels are EXACTLY like the Novelty Labels too, Wonder if they are part of the set? I got Strawberry Frosting and Holiday Frosting today…Not too happy with Holiday Frosting. Has barely a scent and no flavor at all 🙁 however Strawberry Frosting (from Donut Collection) is diff. Faint tho. Has anyone see the Sweet & Salty set at all? I’m in Ohio near Westlake so.maybe I’m seeing em first? Any one seen a Pineapple? I Can’t find one anywhere!

    • Renee on May 1, 2015 at 10:20 AM said:

No. I’ve never ever heard of it before.

    • emma on May 1, 2015 at 7:19 PM said:

I have not seen it or heard of it either! I got my Pineapple flavor in the tasty tropicals trio around 2008. It came in a pack with Guava and Coconut.

  53. Maria on May 1, 2015 at 2:22 AM said:

Oh and Grape Jelly? Is it like any other Grapes we have had? Sweet, Tangy??

    • Renee on May 1, 2015 at 10:22 AM said:

It smells like grape with a jelly note added. It’s really good. I wish they made a peanut butter Lip Smacker to go with it like they did with that one 90’s Lip Smacker duo.

      • Maria on May 1, 2015 at 12:20 PM said:

Thanks! I like the girl scout Peanut Butter. I have 2 of em. As far as the Sweet & Salty collection….I had never heard of it either but it had Vanilla Frosting in it so I bought doubles. Hopefully Bunny Cookie can shed some light on this.

  54. Celeste on May 18, 2015 at 9:56 PM said:

I got my cosmic smackers today from Amazon! Here is my review. 🙂

Stellar Strawberry- A sweeter version than original strawberry, If you’re a big fan of the original, then you’ll like this one.

Orange Sh-orbit- A much sweeter version than the 1970s oranger sherbert.

Moon Rock Candy- not as strong as the original. It does have the rock candy smell to it, but its fainter with a mix of sugar spun shine lip smacker. I like this version because the original made me nauseous a few times because it was too strong for me. I love it either way. 🙂

Now if they could only do a jeweled trio!

  55. Maria on May 19, 2015 at 10:21 AM said:

I told ya Amanda. The Strawberry and Shorbit are sweeter.

    • Celeste on May 19, 2015 at 4:54 PM said:

Yeah it’s so sweet that it makes my mouth water. Cosmic smackers and general 90s smackers were so good. I’m glad that I at least have this trio.

  56. Maria on May 19, 2015 at 6:02 PM said:

I wasnt too into the cosmics but I loved Moon Rock Candy, Strawberry Kiwi Comet and Gumball Galaxy of course;)

  57. Maria on May 19, 2015 at 6:03 PM said:

    Oh and Martian Marshmallow.

    • Celeste on May 19, 2015 at 10:47 PM said:

Aw, I wish I tried the gumball galaxy and martian mallow! Does anyone know of any current dupes for them? Is the vanilla buttercream like the martian mallow? I love vanilla buttercream!

      • Celeste on May 19, 2015 at 10:47 PM said:

How do those taste like? I never had them.

        • Gumball Galaxy is the sugary, Juicy Fruit type flavor they use for the Easter bubble gum’s. The Gleaming Gumball that is on the website now is exactly like it. Martian Mallow is a lot different than the Easter/ Christmas marshmallow they’ve been using recently. The Magical Marshmallow and the Ariel Marshmallow Wish are the same flavor formula as Martian Mallow. I want a true toasted marshmallow flavor. I get hints of cereal marshmallow in the Toasted S’more.

          • Celeste on May 20, 2015 at 12:26 AM said:

Thanks for letting me know, I will buy those if possible. Now that you mentioned it I put it on and notice the same thing. Toasted marshmellow would be heavenly.

          • emma on May 20, 2015 at 12:52 AM said:

I agree with you about the Ariel Marshmallow Wish being the same flavor as Martian Mallow. Martian Mallow is my favorite lip smacker of all time 🙂 I’ve never tried the Magical Marshmallow, what collection is that from? Another dupe for Martian Mallow is the Marshmallow flavor from the lip smacker shimmers collection with the clear domed lids.

  58. Renee on May 20, 2015 at 1:02 AM said:

Don’t forget the marshmallow flavor from the Halloween collection. It was the non-shimmer version of all of the shimmer marshmallow flavors.

    • emma on May 20, 2015 at 5:54 PM said:

Love love love that one!!! And the packaging is too cute!! I love all the marshmallows lol

  59. Celeste on May 20, 2015 at 1:35 PM said:

Good to know, thanks! Are these marshmallow flavors like the weak Donald Duck one? LOL

    • Renee on May 20, 2015 at 2:48 PM said:

No, it has a different smell. It leans toward a more toasted marshmallow type scent. It’s better than the cotton candy-ish marshmallow that comes out during Easter. Speaking of Disney, why did they only release 8 shimmer Disney Princess Lip Smackers? I was hoping they would’ve made shimmer Lip Smackers with Anna and Elsa on them. Since their favorite food is chocolate, they could’ve made shimmer Lip Smackers in flavors like strawberry chocolate, raspberry chocolate, or even dark chocolate if they wanted to. I mean, there’s already a ton of Disney themed Lip Smackers now, but I think that would’ve been awesome.

      • emma on May 20, 2015 at 5:55 PM said:

Yum!! Those would’ve been awesome, great ideas! Maybe you should mention that to Lip Smacker on their Facebook page 🙂

      • I want that and the bubble gum ones but I don’t want to buy the whole set because I already have so many of those flavors and don’t want to spend the money. I’ll settle for what I have for now, Those sound like great flavors! The chocolate cherry from the Paul Frank collection is spot on. I wish they could stick to that accuracy if they do strawberry and raspberry chocolate flavors. I’d prefer those flavors in the original packaging, it seems more original to me than Disney

  60. Honey on June 11, 2015 at 12:40 AM said:

Lucky for me, I already have those flavors Moon Rock Candy, Stellar Strawberry, and Orange Sh-orbit (the original ones).

Hey I was wondering if anybody has seen the lip smackers 1990s pack anywere in Canada and if they did what stores please? been looking for them lately but I don’t wanna have to go search all around saw the pack on ebay but they were charging too much.

    • I agree about the 90’s trio being overpriced on ebay. Unfortunately, I don’t live in Canada, so I don’t know what stores sell Lip Smackers there.

I finally found the 80’s trio at Target! Here’s my little review:

Candy Apple- It has a sweet fake apple scent. It may be a hit or miss for some. It’s just like the candy apple flavor in the Mickey Mouse collection from earlier this year and cruel candy apple from the Disney villains set from last Halloween.

Sour Lemon- It’s not sour at all. You’ll be disappointed if you’re looking for a tart lemon flavor. It smells like the frozen lemonade novelty Lip Smacker and other recent lemonade flavors.

Red Licorice- This one is my favorite. It has a cherry candy scent and I can’t get enough of it. It’s just like the ruthless red licorice Lip Smacker from the Disney villains and novelty sets.

  62. I personally didn’t care for the 80s trio.

  63. Whoa, never knew there was a huge culture behind this! Very interesting…

My sister had the weird moon rock one until recently. Mom threw it out when she asked to use chapstick and it tasted like ass?? Being the only makeup she had, I’ve always associated it’s oddity with her unique personality 😉

  64. Michelle on July 3, 2016 at 4:00 AM said:

Hi! Reading the comments, does aNY one know of a flavor duplicatefor moon rock candy, if any? I had the original, along with martian mallow (my favorite! Bought several when they came out) and strawberry kiwi comet. Those are what I remember buying. I loved these because they wold go on your lips the color they looked like! I loved my gray moon rock candy lips! And my white frosting lips and pink lips! The shimmer was really awesome in these and yes their scents were almost sickenly sweet! They tastep great too! I bought some off eBay, other lip smackers, like the princess pack, was disappointed, none taste like anything or hardly even smell! What gives? Almost all I bought were flavorless. Maybe the 24 month expiration date is a thing. 🙁 maybe they just aren’t made the same? I remember my martian mallow really lasting forever!
