In celebration of summer being around the corner I thought I’d post pictures of the old Sun Smackers! I’ll try not to be too nostalgic but the artwork on these are just fantastic, right?

Here are the trio packs. These have matte labels and an expiration date of 1999. Make sure to click the pictures to take a closer look!

My favorite is the second set, check out those roller-blades.

I had these when I was little! Like around 8 years old or something. I was OBSESSED with the Bubble Gum Ice Cream and Calypso Punch. I remember really enjoying the Cherry Cola Fizz too. You should update this blog more often, because it’s the highlight of my life. 🙂

OMG I had these as a kid! I think I still have melon patch somewhere at my parent’s! Thank you for the great blog!

    • It’s such a good flavor!

You should totally go see if you still have it and any other flavors. Glad you like the blog 🙂

Hello, I am from New Zealand. I adore LipSmackers and read your blog everyday. I swear by the product!
We don’t have many selections here but I have taken to purchasing from US sellers on Ebay which is NOT cheap to say the least.
Because of this I have never seen many of the ones you take pictures of so thank you for cataloguing everything.

    • Hi Abbey, thanks for leaving a comment, I’m glad you are enjoying the blog.
I wish international shipping were cheaper for you! If it helps, you guys have had a few exclusives we didn’t get here 😀

Pleeease tell me if you ever sell these! Lol 🙂 I love those tacky neon colored keychains in the top row. From a time when smackers weren’t afraid to be a bit loud 🙂

    • I totally agree with you! I like the more juvenile style too. Maybe we’d see something more like that if they did another cosmic/glitter collection 😀

i wonder what the texture and smells are like after so many years

    • I bet the scents are like new unless it was a weak flavor to begin with! A lot of their balms from the 70’s still smell strongly. I couldn’t comment on the texture of older smackers but I am going to guess they lose their smoothness, understandably.

  9. I still have the cherry cola fizz. Mines came with an orange keychain.

    • That’s awesome, never lose it 😀

I always thought the Cherry Cola Fizz smelled a lot like Dr. Pepper. Maybe that’s why I was able to finish up the tube. I think the Coca Cola Cherry kinda smells like Dr. Pepper too.

It didn’t smell the same as Cherry Coke before the formula change of Dr. Pepper. I miss how it used to smell.
