  2. Very nostalgic. Thank you for posting this. 🙂 Such a bittersweet photo. It reminds me of being a pre-teen/teen and the only worry I had was “which Lip Smacker am I going to put in my pencil case/pocket today?” and of course shopping with my mom and asking if I could buy one. In a few years I’ll be… 30 *cries a little* and Bonne Bell def. doesn’t make products like they used to. I had the Rocket Pop flav. Flip Gloss on when I had my first kiss at 13, I remember having the Watermelon and Root Beer Float in my pencil cases in Elementary School and I remember applying at least 12 layers of Lunar Lime mixed with Orange Pop on a road trip.

Each flavour from the 90s and ’00s has a memory and that’s why I love them so much. The ones they make today? Not so much. I actually dislike them… a lot! As soon as they changed the logo and brought Disney, Paul Frank and other sellout brands to the LS family, I was done.

Anyway, I hope you keep posting older ones. 🙂

  3. Nostalgia! Nothing like the perfect pair of Bonne Bell and Caboodles. I’ve outgrown Caboodles but never Bonne Bell/ Lip Smackers! I loved a bunch of these and still own them thankfully. As mad, frustrated as I’ve been with the quality lately, this reminds me that theres nothing like a Lip Smacker. I loved the Berry Freeze I see all the way to the bottom right. I wonder if the new Berry Slush novelty is going to be similar, as some of the new novelties have throw back flavors in the trio? I can still smell it. Anyway, I love where Lip Smackers have come as far as flavor availability. Back then, the flavors were great too, but seemed like they released them fewer and farther in between. We’d wait ions for new Lip Smacker flavors. The only branded one in the 90’s- early 00’s was Dr Pepper. Glad they went back to partnerships with Skittles, Starburst, M&M’s, Coca-Cola, Girl Scouts, etc.! Lately they’ve been upping the frequency of new flavors, thankfully. They just need to focus on QUALITY and AUTHENTICITY that has lacked in the last year and THEN I will say I love where the company is at right now.

Oh wow that’s a pretty picture:-) did all those lip smackers come in the case with it when you bought it? i had a very similar case when i was 9 (in 2001) But it was sparkly and had the word princess on the side. i wish i still had it. 🙁 anyway, i remember putting those flavors in it like the cosmic, birthstone, summer sports, and original collections. So happy 🙂 thanks for posting this!

  8. Im so sad. Years ago during a move I threw out all my old lipsmackers 🙁 I had ALOT. Some I had since I was 9. I was then 27. Saddening. One flavor I havent seen redone is Tangerine. I LOVED that flavor!

You just broke my heart, Maria. :'( Tangerine was yummy and would be again, as long as they kept the original formula. *sigh* I wish they’d bring back all the biggies with the lanyard loop on the twisty end, especially Bubble Gum – brings back memories…summertime in between 3rd and 4th grade.
