I know LS has been on a retro kick lately, but I never expected this! Someone younger or with young siblings/kids, tell me… is there a troll resurgence I’ve missed?!

Edit: Dreamworks’ Trolls movie coming out in 2016

The flavors are: Fluffy Buttermint Frosting, Fuzzy Peach Ice Cream, Rainbow Swirl Cupcake, & Cotton Candy Sprinkles

Not gonna lie, I’m here for peach ice cream.

Psst, LS…if you’re going to do troll dolls, can we pretty please have gem caps?

Thanks! Oh, I forgot to mention on the back it says distributed by Markwins and Copyright DreamWorks, so maybe it’s an upcoming movie? And I also wanted to mention how they taste really good too. You know how some just smell good but don’t have much of a flavor? Well, not these 🙂 They smell AND taste great!

I’m confused as to why these aren’t on the Lip Smacker website or mentioned anywhere. I don’t understand why they talk about collections no one can find in stores, yet there’s collections like these that seem to appear in stores out of nowhere.

    • Not to mention the movie isn’t out until thanksgiving 2016. This is a really early launch for some reason.

2016?! Maybe they thought by sending them out now we might actually be able to find them by the time the movie comes out lol. And yet I’m still on the hunt for Inside Out Lip Smackers :). If I can’t find them when I go shopping tomorrow, I’m just gonna finally order online.

Lol wow! This is really cool. I like the neon colors on the designs. Trolls were very popular back in the 80s and 90s. I even still have one of them. They should do one on Jem and the Holograms since their movie is coming out later this year.

Oooo a frosting Lipsmacker. Would u be willing to purchase and do Paypal Tanya? I’ve checked Rite Aid here no luck. But I have yet to check target. Email me Tanya. We traded Pineapple Creme for Pink Choco egg and Mango 🙂

Oh I see u did email me Tanya. 🙂 and yea I still have a jewel troll on my bookshelf as we speak. They were preety cool in the 90s. Hate that my Target is so far away. I want the Frosting one! Rite Aid still hasn’t gotten in the trios after they sold out.

I sent you another email 🙂 and I thought you guys might find this funny, but when I was a little kid, my mom used to crochet clothes for troll dolls. And also for some reason I remember the gem ones so much more than the regular ones.

I emailed you, Tanya. I’ve always wanted to crochet but I’m not sure its a good idea with Tendonitus coming and going. I do latch hooks though I loved trolls when I was lil. I had these adorable troll slippers and prolly 50 trolls. I wanted a “Cuddle” troll but never got around to one as a kid. I’ve recently bought one for a good price considering they are collectors items now.

as a child i never liked those trolls, but will probably still get these because the flavors sound so good.

  7. While I’m pleased to hear the flavors and smells are amazing, is anyone getting a little tired of all the movie themes LS has been doing (Inside Out, Descendants, and now Trolls)? Plus with whatever else their going to come out with. I would just like regular LS without movie or TV show hype attached to it.

    • Celeste on July 10, 2015 at 1:12 PM said:

I agree with you Stef! I would like these a lot more if they were regular lip smackers or something with a cute original theme attached to it (no movies or cartoons). This is why I like the Pet Pals so much. I even ordered a set off of Ebay.

  8. While I agree all the Disney is getting REALLY old, I think they wanted to add a little nostalgia brand. Trolls were collectible as well as Lip Smackers. Although the Trolls fad faded, I think with the movie coming out, they probably wanted to get on that band wagon because more than likely a lot of Trolls merchandise will probably start appearing within the next year. This could be interesting as far as flavors go. I think this is to fill the Paul Frank gap, since those are now done and over. I’m glad the troll is on the tube and the ‘hair’ is the cap. How cute would the Treasure Trolls with the jewel on the belly be?
This partnership seems to fill the more ‘fashionable’ side of the brand. They’ve always said the brand is ‘flavorful, fashionable, fun’ but to me it’s all about the flavors. They formula is obviously moisturizing too. I love the flavor partnerships and since Paul Frank and Girl Scout Cookies disappeared from the sight together, maybe we will see another flavor partnership soon. The most obvious would be Starbucks but it’s rare to see Starbucks partnerships besides their charity funds.
I absolutely agree with Stef, I LOVE LOVE LOVE original packaging. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Finding new flavors in original packaging makes it so collectible to me, not cartoon partnerships. That’s just brand awareness for me, I already love Lip Smacker so I don’t need Disney on the packaging to make me purchase.

Will these be on lip smackers website?

  10. Maria on July 15, 2015 at 7:41 PM said:

Well I got these today and I can safely say they are ALL awesome. The Fuzzy Peach Ice Cream seems to be just a dupe of Peach tho but its ok cause Peach is awesome!

I bought these at Target today. I almost missed them because they weren’t in the cosmetic section, but in the girl’s clothes section near the accessories and training bras. I also saw a Trolls Caboodle case.

    • Tanya on July 21, 2015 at 6:15 PM said:

I hate when Target does that. I almost missed the 4 piece Sundae set last year because of that. You know what’s funny? I almost missed the Troll Lip Smackers too because they were really low on the shelf with the Lip Smackers and other lip balms, so I walked right past thinking they were some generic brand, then out of the corner of my eye I saw it said by Lip Smacker so I went back to look. 🙂

  12. Maria on July 22, 2015 at 12:51 AM said:

I REALLY like the Buttermint Frosting. Tasty. I think I need a backup considering its a quarter gone. These balms from Markwins are pretty good quality so far. I’m impressed.

    • Renee on July 22, 2015 at 1:40 AM said:

Fluffy buttermint frosting smells just like the other butter mint/vanilla mint flavors. My rainbow swirl cupcake one is messed up inside the tube. The balm inside is in a weird shape.

  13. Maria on July 23, 2015 at 3:22 PM said:

    Its a touch sweeter I think Renee…

    • Renee on July 23, 2015 at 5:08 PM said:

It’s the exact same scent as the other buttermint/vanilla mint flavors. The color of the balm is the same as the buttermint/mint ones that have come out around Easter and the vanilla mint Lip Smacker with Mickey Mouse on it.

  14. Maria on July 23, 2015 at 6:31 PM said:

It seems sweeter to me. Altho the Fuzzy Peach Ice Cream is Peach…but that’s ok. I really like the Cotton Candy one too.
