Hi guys! Lemme just say, I had no clue Frozen SPF Lip Smackers were coming out. And I have no idea where they are being sold, though I suspect the usual places.  A friend grabbed these for me online so I really have no info.

This will not be reviewed until I somehow find a second set, so I can’t speak on the formulas. I’ll say that I really like the dainty label artwork for Elsa and Anna and I think it’s a cute idea to pair them with SPF smackers.

The flavors are Perfect Berry Sunshine (Elsa), Summer Citrus Punch (Olaf), and Sweet Melon Breeze (Anna)frozen-spf-lip-smackers

Aw man, I’m allergic to SPF lip balms.

I always thought I was/am too 🙁 It’s too bad since the flavors sound good and the pictures are cute, especially Olaf.

Lipsmacker needs a HoneyCrisp Apple balm. How is the Sour Apple? Candied Apple is not enough Apple for my liking. And Tanya I emailed u back.

    • The Sour Apple is pretty sweet to me, more than sour. Smells like a green apple gummy worm to me. I love Candy Apple-A very sweet apple cinnamon flavor. I wish they’d make a green apple JUST like the old Green Apple Spritz Flip Gloss. That was absolutely perfect! If they could nail an apple pie flavor I’d like that. I was not a fan of the Paul Frank Apple Crumb Cake. That Apple was so floral, just like the original Apple in the 90’s.

  3. I’m wondering if these flavors are ‘new’, since all of the Disney Sun Smackers so far have been renamed original SPF’s. I’m speculating that Perfect Berry Sunshine is Kiwi Berry Crush, Summer Citrus Punch is Lemon Lime Rush, and Sweet Melon Breeze is Extreme Melon or Watermelon Wave. Sorry to be a Debbie Downer lol.

Hmm maybe I should get Sour Apple? Anyone have an extra they would like to trade or sell? I LOVEDDD the Apple from the 90s. I’m not a huge fan of the Paul Frank Balms anyways. I do like Chachis Lollipop Hearts tho. Need that balm.

    • Ahh!!! I loved most of the Paul Frank flavors! I still can’t get over Chachi’s Fried Ice Cream, Julius’ Amaretto Biscotti, Spicoli’s Caramel Corn, Julius’ Chocolate Cherry, Julius’ Rainbow Sherbet, Spicoli’s Spumoni- so many unique ones! I was disappointed in the Julius Peppermint Marshmallow, the formula was very weak. I was hoping for a dupe of Artic’s Mallow Mint.

Now PF Fried Ice Cream I’ve wanted to try and the Spumoni but the only two I had I didn’t like. Which were Angel Food Cake and Red Velvet Cheesecake.

I love the Paul Frank ones too! I have almost all of them. I even have the biggies of raspberry, cottpn candy and sugar berry. The designs are so cute. I love Worry Bear’s Honey Sweet, Chachi’s Lollipop, Worry Bear’s Apple Crumb Cake and Cherry Chocolate especially! 🙂 The ones that I don’t like much are the Girl Scout ones. lol

And A, I remember Artic’s Mallow Mint fondly. I remember putting 6 layers of that one on as my mom drove me to school and picked up my classmate in a carpool. Such innocent days for me. lol

I found these at Walgreen’s about 2 days ago. Caught me by surprise because my Walgreen’s hadnt had any smackers in months

(cont.) The whole Bonne Bell section at my Walgreens has been gone for a while but these were on a small cardboard display with Mickey Sun Smackers and Little Mermaid Sun Smackers. It was my first time buying Sun Smackers so I scooped up all three sets. The melon one is a duplicate of watermelon wave. Perfect Berry Sunshine is different-kind of grapey, reminds me of a Sweettart candy. summer Citrus Punch is lime flavored.

I won’t get these because they are dupes of what I already have. I think I’ll stick to buying non character smackers from now on. I recently bought the Starburst ones which are really good. I also got a set of the Pet Pal’s collection from 2006. Its old and rare so I prefer to use it for collection purposes only. I just adore the Pet Pals; I miss them. lol

I got one of the Descendents trios on a whim, because I was so excited to see new Lip Smackers in a store.

Evie’s baked muffin tastes like caramel with a vague spice flavor. Not bad, but forgettable.

Malevolent Chocolate is… interesting. I was expecting real chocolate, but I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to be white chocolate. It tastes like instant vanilla pudding. I think dark chocolate would have been a better choice!

Apple of my Evie is an apple cinnamon flavor with floral undertones. I think it’s the best one of the trio. Interestingly, it tastes exactly like another balm I used to have that was made by Markwins, called Apple Cinnamon. I loved the flavor, but it was very waxy, and the LS version isn’t, which is great.

Can I ask what store you find those at? I’m not crazy about the packaging on those, but those flavors do sound good enough to just deal with it 🙂

      • Stef on July 16, 2015 at 7:08 PM said:

LS facebook said the Descendants are a Target exclusive, I believe. I just came back from Target and I see now Inside Out balms or ’80’s or ’90’s or even descendants.

        • Tanya on July 17, 2015 at 2:32 PM said:

Thanks for the info! There’s a few Targets in my area, so maybe I’ll try another location.

I found the Descendants ones at Rite Aid.

  9. Maria on July 16, 2015 at 7:42 PM said:

I prolly won’t be getting the Desendants. But those Troll Lipsmackers are delicious! And I Love the Inside Out ones too.

  10. Has anyone tried the 80s lip smackers? How are they? Is red licorice just like the novelty flavor? What about candied apple and sour lemon? I love the retro packaging.

    • Renee on July 19, 2015 at 1:46 AM said:

I still haven’t been able to find it. I haven’t been able to find any of the new Lip Smacker sets since Markwins owned it. I’ve only been able to find older ones in stores.

  11. Maria on July 19, 2015 at 10:07 AM said:

Amanda, the Licorice smells jus like the novelty to me. The Candy Apple smells jus like the Valentine “apple of my I” and the Sour Lemon isn’t no diff than the usual lemon. Overall it was quite disappointing.

    • Celeste on July 19, 2015 at 4:33 PM said:

Aww. Oh well at least I like those flavors. 🙁 The 90s Moon Rock Candy was a dissapointment too. It does NOT smell like the original. Its like spun sugar with a hint of moon rock candy. They ruined that and the Dr.Pepper. I’m not liking the new releases except for Inside Out. I had a distaste towards trolls ever since they came out when I was a toddler. I don’t want the smackers because the trolls were always ugly to me. I even refused to watch the Hunchback of Notredam disney movie as a 4 y/o because of his looks. LOL No offense to anyone who likes the trolls. My cousin liked them when we were kids.

I thought Quasimodo was adorable when I was a little girl. I even had a doll of him!

I was a dramatic child. I even refused to go to kindergarten class one day because I knew we were going to watch the movie. LOL Its probably a nice movie to watch.

      • Maria on July 19, 2015 at 8:09 PM said:

The troll Smacker flavors are delicious though. 😉

I might buy the, anyways, but that’s if I find them at Target next time I go. All of the recent smackers both smell and taste good. They are really moisturizing. The cosmic and inside out ones are alll delicious. They make me want to lick my lips, which may not be good. LOL People at work know that I’m an obsessed collector and laugh because I keep a handful in my cubicle desk. LOL I have my Pet Pals pencil case with smacker on display on my vanity in my bedroom.

  12. Maria on July 21, 2015 at 1:32 AM said:

Oh my boyfriend laughs and always says I’m obsessed. I literally went thru one “BubbleGum Frosting” in two and a half weeks! I couldn’t stop putting it on! When I.first got back into collecting I used a Reg Bubblegum up in a month!

  13. Renee on July 30, 2015 at 10:27 PM said:

Hey Bunny Cookie, do you plan on making any more reviews on the older collections? I would love to see your review on the cosmic Lip Smackers. I’ve been waiting for a post on it for a long time.

HEY Renee, your allergic to Strawberry balms right? What happens if u use em? Cuz I recently had a reaction to the newer strawberry scented balms? My lips got extra dry while cracking in the corners. Was weird. Does this happen to u? Also, I jus wanted to let everyone know I absolutely LOVE the new Dr Pepper. Its like Cherry Pepsi with awesome color. So yummy!

    • Renee on August 2, 2015 at 9:32 PM said:

It makes my lips feel numb, and it’s not ALL strawberry Lip Smackers, only certain kinds like strawberry cheesecake, strawberry Fanta, strawberry Skittles, etc. I can use the original strawberry, strawberry kiwi, strawberry watermelon, and strawberry coconut ones just fine.

I personally don’t like the new formula for Dr. Pepper. I miss the old one. ?

  15. Oh nothing could ever compare to the old one. But I dont mind the new one. The strawberry that I used was the “Candy Crush” valentine one and the “Anna-Strawberry Shake” from the Frozen collection. Both did the same thing to me.

    • I’m allergic to the Anna strawberry milkshake Lip Smacker myself, but it’s definitely not as bad as with strawberry Fanta. I’m allergic to that flavor the most. I wonder if I may be allergic to a certain red dye or a combination of them. Almost all of the cosmetics I’ve had an allergy to were red, pink, or a color that would require red dye like purple.

  16. I saw these at the front of Walgreen’s today along with the Mickey Mouse and Ariel spf 24 trios and a couple Disney Princess shimmer trios. They also had a couple versions of the Coca Cola trios, one with Sprite, Coke, and Barq’s Root Beer, and the other with original, cherry, and vanilla Coke.
